In addition to the functionality of the Standard model (80100), this version of the PROMPT Flex has a Bluetooth enabled baby that works in conjunction with Limbs & Things bespoke Birthing Simulator Software. It allows running of scenarios with the ability to record actions and interventions made and time to deliver baby. Traction applied to the baby’s head is measured in Newtons and plotted throughout the scenarios on an easy to see graph. On completion of a scenario, a PDF can be printed off to record the trainee’s progress and allow for a factual debriefing session.

A simple meter mode in the software allows trainees valuable practice in applying force to the baby outside of the context of a scenario - enabling them to become familiar with the feel of both safe and excessive force before encountering a real obstetric emergency.

Please note:

*The PROMPT Flex software may not be compatible on some Android devices, please see FAQs below for recommendations and minimum system requirements.

**iPad not included.

+
Can I download the Birthing Simulator software onto more than one device?
Yes, you can download the software as many times as you like and onto as many devices as you like. Even if you intend to routinely use the software on a tablet or phone, we recommend you also download the software onto a Windows PC or Mac, as any future upgrades to the baby’s firmware will require the use of a PC or Mac.
+
I have accidentally deleted the software/got a new computer/device. Can I download the software again?
Yes, you can download the software multiple times and on multiple devices under your control – free of charge using the Download Software link at the top of this page.
+
Will the software work on smartphones/iPhones?
Yes, but there are limitations due to the small size of the screen: Only meter mode is available. Drill mode is not available on smartphones/iPhones. The baby registration screen is not optimised for phones, so for first time use we recommend downloading the software onto a tablet/PC in order to complete registration of your baby.
+
How long does it take to charge the baby?
It takes 4-5 hours to charge the baby from fully discharged to fully charged. Every hour of charging time gives approximately 2 hours of use.
+
How long does the Bluetooth baby charge last?
Once fully charged it should give approx. 10.5 hours of use in total. If fully charged but left in standby mode, it should last approximately 40 days. To maintain the health of your battery, we recommend you always charge your baby fully before storing it unused for any long period.
+
Is it safe to leave the baby in the dock to charge overnight?
Yes. There is a temperature sensor in the dock and a safety cut out.
+
What does a pulsing red light on the baby’s chest indicate?
A pulsing red light on the baby’s chest when it is not in the supplied charging dock indicates that the baby has less than 2 hours of charge remaining. We advise charging it up again using the charging dock.. A pulsing red light on the baby’s chest when it is in the dock means that it is charging. The light will go out when the baby is fully charged.
+
Can I edit the scenarios supplied in Drill Mode or add ones of my own?
Yes. From the Welcome screen, choose Settings (the cog button in the top right), then Edit scenarios. Choose Add Scenario at the bottom of the screen to add a new one, or Edit next to the scenario you wish to change.
