1st European Conference on Simulation in Women's Health

Limbs & Things is pleased to announce their involvement with the 1st European Conference on Simulation in Women's Health. The event will take place on Thursday 25th - Friday 26th February 2010 at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London.

The event will provide practical information for instructors running simulation based training in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as reports on up to date research into what works and at what cost. A number of key international speakers such as Professor Patsy Stark, Professor Guid Oei, Mr Tim Draycott and Mr Willem Van Meurs will be presenting.

Limbs & Things will be involved in a number of workshops which involve The Surgical Science LapSim and a prototype of the PROMPT 2 birthing simulator.

Setting up a clinical skills lab

As part of its service to medical education, Limbs & Things is making available resources related to planning, setting up and managing clinical skills centres. The original paper by Paul Bradley and Keith Postlethwaite, published in Medical Education, has been very well received and over 1,000 have been downloaded from our site.
